Prenatal yoga poster in the making

In the next few months I will continually post drawings of pregnant women doing yoga. I have had many requests during the last months to do a prenatal yoga poster, which I think is a great idea, so these drawings will eventually form a yoga poster with the most common used poses in prenatal yoga classes. It will also be layouted in a sequence that you can do from the beginning to the end if you happen to be pregnant and want to do some yoga at home.

However, I don't have any experience myself with prenatal yoga so I have teamed up with a prenatal yoga teacher and doula from New York, Neelu Shruti, who has a yoga studio called Love Child Yoga . She has put together a sequence for the poster and she will provide info about the poses as they are posted online. We will use instagram as the main platform so be sure to follow her on @lovechildyoga if you want the in depth description of the poses. I will of course post the drawings on my account and share a bit of my creative process doing the naked yogis and turning them into a poster. My instagram is called @yogaprints.

My plan and hope is to have the poster done around August 2016 :)

Also, I have to mention the awesome bloggers and yoga teachers/nerds Josefine Barrett for encouraging me in the first place to do a poster - and providing me with info for the first poses I drew. And Karen Pallisgaard for writing about my art on her blogs and chearing me on and asking me to draw more pregnant women doing yoga.

Check them out if you are into yoga and / or prenatal yoga - I highly recommend them!
